Chalet Rafalt has been humming for the last ten days. Visitors from the UK, Norway and near our home in Canada have been keeping things very busy!
We have had two 40cm+ storms in the last 7 days and our guests have enjoyed some great powder skiing in Stuben and off Valfagerbahn. We have carried on from skiing to show off St. Anton’s legendary Apres Ski which is something that truly must be experienced by all skiers once in their lives. Our visitors from Banff saw Taps, the Krazy Kanguruh and Mooserwirt in excellent form and one night we were still skiing down at 9pm. Great times!
Last night we made our first trip up to the Rodel Alm which is a traditonal Austrian restaurant specializing in BIG pieces of meat and that is located on 4.5 km toboggan trail. We pulled up or sleds (rodels) and enjoyed the atmosphere, great service and delicious food before racing our way back down the mountain.
It snowed a lot last night and we managed to get a few turns in before our Norwegian guests arrived. It was a classic St. Anton day with 30cm’s on backside and 50+ inSchonengrabben. Unfortunately I forgot my camera!
There are still a couple of weeks available so please come over and join in on the action.
Kind Regards,
Maaike and Ross
